A First for Me!

Well.... I never thought it would happen.... BUT ... today, while outside at my yardsale, I had someone drive up... looking quite perplexingly at me while browsing the yardsale items remaining... and then left fairly shortly after....still looking at me with a look that seemed to have a questioning aspect to it. About a half an hour later the same man walks up and lets me know that he was the one who stopped by earlier with this explanation: He stated that he was taking a moped for a test-drive and just happened to drive by my home; noticed me standing there and swore he recoginized me from my Zaadz profile page... and then when he saw the tattoo, he KNEW it was infact me from Zaadz.... LOL Now the route actually started in 43things.com where I have a list that I haven't seen in a LONG time (should probably go update that). From there he clicked through and reached my Zaadz profile page. :)
This is a new experience for me... having someone completely by chance to drive by or whatever, and recognize me from anywhere... so that was just a buzz for the rest of the afternoon!!!
He noted the serendipity in his route even going by my home, and then the fact that he had only recently joined Zaadz... then he also pointed out the things he felt were non-serendipitous ... the fact that he had to go to an event and couldn't stay longer... the fact that I was moving... it was really quite nice and I was blessed to have experienced such a circumstance.
I do encourage you all to say, hello to dbraun... he is another local from San Luis Obispo. He is primarily more active on 43things, though. :) He is also a photographer... so check out the photos he has posted here at Zaadz... they are quite lovely!

Amazingly, the same thing happened to me yesterday - only I was the drive-by guy, and the yard was Zaadz itself, and the person - someone I knew in another time, another place, another lifetime, it seems…. And yet a series of amazing events, each unrelated, brought us full circle, out of those ways and those lives, to find one another in our brand new incarnations..
Of course - that sounds more new age than it really was.. but the sheer number of coincidences that occurred to reach this point… well, i’m still in shock.
I think my new old friend is too :)
I'm just now watching the film 'Cold Mountain'.I've hardly watched TV in weeks, partly because the ariel was bust but mostly because I choose to keep it switched off.One aspect of the film that I really like is the music, especially the fiddle.I think it's a beautiful sound.I thought to myself “wouldn't it be cool to play the fiddle”.
Five minutes later I was notified of a new blog entry by MsCaprikell.Interesting story MsC, thanks for sharing! Upon checking out dbraun's profile I clicked on his 43 things, and the very first thing I noticed was that one of his 43things is that he wants to play the fiddle.Now there's only 7 people there who have that same desire, not many so it's not exactly desiring to see the colour blue and then saying “oh look there's a blue tshirt.That's not a coincidence, I was thinking of it so it was attracted to me!”
Others would say “there's blue all over the place, it's hard not to see it.The sky is blue for pity sake!”
But I don't see other people talking about fiddles everywhere, yet five mins after thinking about playing the fiddle I was attracted, by way of this blog, to a site where just 7 people are desiring to play the fiddle.
So if I desire anything, envision anything, such as a cheque for a certain amount of money to be delivered to my door, then of course that's a done deal.
The reason it took only a mere few minutes for the fellow “desire to play the fiddle” people to attract to a like minded person such as myself, is because I have absolutely no resistance to that, no history of “wanting to meet others who desire to play the fiddle but have never met them” or “people tell me fiddles don't grow on trees” or “You're shallow if you play beautiful music on the fiddle”.Yes, ridiculous isn't it.
Ooh can't wait for my cheque to arrive :D
